Tower Crafter

Description

Tower Crafter is a Tower Defence game with unique mechanics not typically found in tower defence games, making it stand out from the rest. Chop, Mine, Harvest and Craft to victory and have a different experience every time with a randomly generated path generator. Fight different types of Garfield's that each have their unique ability, with 5 different towers to help you get through to the final wave.


Story

Tower Crafter was the first finished game that I made in Unreal Engine 5. In college, I took a Game Design course, and for my Final Major Project in my first year, I made Tower Crafter. This was a 12-week project where we had to brainstorm, research, plan and execute an idea. From the very start of this project, I wanted to aim for a Distinction and finding out that I had gotten the grade I worked for was UNREAL. 

This game gave me a Distinction grade and allowed me to move on to the second year. 




Radio Control

Description

Radio Control is a puzzle game that is about a guy who was sent to investigate a mysterious Radio that is located in the house.  This radio can send the player into different situations that are happening around the world. He has now been assigned the task of solving the problems that are happening and becoming a radio guard.  

Story

This was the first project I have worked on in Unity, and I used this as an opportunity to learn C # Sharp Coding.  I also wanted to see how much I could do if I set myself a time limit of 14 days. This helped me understand how to manage the time I had and also motivated me to work twice as hard. I am going to be working more on this even after the 14 days, as I think that this game has the potential to be improved a lot. 

Tomb Raider Level Design

This level was a project that I was tasked with, which would enhance my understanding of how to plan a level and design it. We had the options of Uncharted, Tomb Raider, God of War and The Last of Us to make a level for, and I chose to do Tomb Raider as it was a game that I have played the most. 

Within my level, I added a few puzzles that will encourage the player to explore the environment for example the keypad door which requires a code. This code is hinted around the area and the player will have to explore to find. Another puzzle that does this is the laser puzzle. This is the last puzzle that the player will have to complete to get to finish the game and to find out how to get to there, they have to start by exploring the cave.

Overall, I was able to create something that I was pretty happy with and would possibly like to explore more into level designing.
